The Changing Room is the centre for contemporary visual arts in the City of Stirling, showing new work by artists from throughout Scotland and further afield, in a programme of solo and group exhibitions throughout the year, accompanied by related events and activities.
In our new location at the Tolbooth we aim to engage contemporary artists with the unique architectural, cultural and civic history of the building and offer a diverse and challenging programme.
We were based at the Crawford Arcade in Stirling City centre between 1997-2007. The inaugural season of exhibitions in our new site respond to the history of the Tolbooth, a public building which has performed various roles in its 300 year life including jail, courthouse, parliament for James I & IV, police station, and now, a music venue.
