2012 has been a busy year for the lads, with touring and festivals, building on the achievements of 2011 when they won Best Live Act at the Scottish Trad Awards.
Formed in 2005 on the Island of Tiree in Scotland's Inner Hebrides, the band has developed both in size and sound to create a unique fusion of their traditional music and songs with the urban sounds of rock and funk. With their powerful musicianship and the distinctive voice of singer Alec Dalglish, Skerryvore had gripped audiences across the world form Chicago to Beijing and have been the highlight of many big festival, home and abroad.
