Can I bring children?

We advise customers not to bring young children to the event as it is not suitable for children under 8 years old.  

If you do decide to bring young children please be aware that taking pushchairs and buggies into a fully standing area is not advisable and that they may be surrounded by people dancing.  

All children must hold a ticket.

Do I need a ticket for the Esplanade?

Each person on the Esplanade needs a ticket so numbers can be monitored for health and safety reasons.  Children over 8 years old need the same amount of space per person as an adult – this is how the capacity is worked out for the Esplanade.  No-one will be allowed on to the Esplanade without a ticket.

Is there a bar and can I get food?

A licensed bar will be available on the Esplanade.  Please do not bring alcohol with you.  Drinks will be sold in plastic glasses.  All ticket holders should be reminded that ABSOLUTELY NO GLASS will be permitted on the Esplanade.  Access to patrons with glass will be denied.  There will also be hot food and hot drinks on sale.
