Support for Families
Sometimes parents may need additional help or advice. There are a range of social work services available for children, young people and their families.
Intake service is provided weekdays 9 am - 5 pm and the intake team is based at Drummond House, Wellgreen, Stirling, FK8 2EG, tel: 01786 471177. The intake team can be contacted by phone, fax or letter. There are also personal appointment times available.
We offer a free, confidential service to children, young people and their families. We can offer advice, guidance and support on a range of issues that affect family life.
Whilst we cannot offer a service regarding financial, housing or legal matters, we will be able to direct you to the appropriate agency.
It is useful to know some background information. We will ask for your name, address, family members and a little of your recent history. This often helps us to understand where you are in your life and what is important to you.
We will then discuss the issue and identify the important features which will then allow some basic plans to be put in place. This may well involve you in undertaking some work to begin to change things.
We will make every effort to respect the confidentiality of your situation, but may well have to share issues that place you or a member of your family at risk.
