Strategic Environmental Assessment and Planning

The Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005 (see more on the process and definition).

The following Planning documents have been assessed using the SEA process:

1) Housing in the Countryside.
After a screening procedure to determine the requirement for environmental assessment a Scoping Report. was prepared and the relevant Consultation Authorities, the Scottish Ministers (acting through Historic Scotland), Scottish Environment Protection Agency and Scottish Natural Heritage consulted to consider the content of the Draft Environmental Report.

The Environmental Report identifies, describes and evaluates the likely significant effect on the environment of implementing the Supplementary Planning Guidance 'Housing in the Countryside'.

2) Renewable Energy (Wind Turbines) Supplementary Planning Guidance.
