A rare chance to see three of the world’s finest musicians share a stage. Michael McGoldrick, John McCusker and John Doyle are members of the highly acclaimed BBC Transatlantic Sessions and play the Tolbooth as part of their UK tour.
Manchester’s McGoldrick is widely regarded as a master of flutes, whistles and Uillean pipes, while McCusker’s unique fiddle playing has earned him a worldwide reputation as one of the most gifted and versatile musicians of any genre. Meanwhile Doyle’s gifts as guitarist, songwriter and vocalist have played an essential role in the ongoing renaissance of Irish traditional music and earned him a 2010 Grammy nomination for Best Traditional World Music album.
As individual musicians, their achievements are innumerable. Together, they are a force to be reckoned with.
